Chapter 2 Verse 4

(Arjun uvaach)

Katham’, Bheeshmm’, aham’, sankhye, Dronam’, ch, Madusoodan,
IshubhiH, prati, yotsyami, poojarhau, arisoodan ||4||

(Arjun said)

Translation: (Madhusoodan) Oh Madhusoodan! (aham’) I (sankhye) in the battlefield (katham’) how (ishubhiH) with arrows (Bheeshmm’) Bheeshm Pitamah (ch) and (Dronam’) Dronacharya (prati yotsyami) shall fight against? Because (Arisoodan) Oh Arisoodan! They both are (poojarhau) venerable. (4)

Translation

Oh Madhusoodan! How shall I fight with arrows against Bheeshm Pitamah and Dronacharya in the battle field? Because Oh Arisoodan! They both are venerable.


(अर्जुन उवाच)

कथम्, भीष्मम्, अहम्, सङ्ख्ये, द्रोणम्, च, मधुसूदन,
इषुभिः, प्रति, योत्स्यामि, पूजार्हौ, अरिसूदन।।4।।

अनुवाद: (मधुसूदन) हे मधुसूदन! (अहम्) मैं (सङ्ख्ये) रणभूमिमें (कथम्) किस प्रकार (इषुभिः) बाणोंसे (भीष्मम्) भीष्मपितामह (च) और (द्रोणम्) द्रोणाचार्यके (प्रति योत्स्यामि) विरुद्ध लडूँगा? क्योंकि (अरिसूदन) हे अरिसूदन! वे दोनों ही (पूजार्हौ) पूजनीय हैं। (4)
