Chapter 4 Verse 12

KaankshantH, karmnaam, siddhim, yajante, ih, devtaH,
Kshiprm, hi, maanushe, loke, siddhiH, bhavti, karmja ||12||

Translation: (Ih) this (maanushe) man (loke) in the world (karmnaam) of actions (siddhim) fruits of (kaankshantH) those who desire (devtaH) gods i.e. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiv (yajante) worship (hi) because they (karmja) arising from actions i.e. based on actions (siddhiH) spiritual success (kshiprm) quickly (bhavti) attain. (12)

Translation

In this world of men those who desire for the fruits of actions, they worship the gods i.e. Brahma, Vishnu, Shiv because they quickly attain the spiritual success arising from their actions i.e. based on their actions.


काङ्क्षन्तः, कर्मणाम्, सिद्धिम्, यजन्ते, इह, देवताः,
क्षिप्रम्, हि, मानुषे, लोके, सिद्धिः, भवति, कर्मजा।।12।।

अनुवाद: (इह) इस (मानुषे) मनुष्य (लोके) लोकमें (कर्मणाम्) कर्मोंके (सिद्धिम्) फलको (काङ्क्षन्तः) चाहनेवाले लोग (देवताः) देवताओं अर्थात् ब्रह्मा, विष्णु, शिव का (यजन्ते) पूजन किया करते हैं (हि) क्योंकि उनको (कर्मजा) कर्मोंसे उत्पन्न होनेवाली अर्थात् कर्माधार से (सिद्धिः) सिद्धि (क्षिप्रम्) शीघ्र (भवति) मिल जाती है। (12)
