Chapter 14 Verse 20

Gunaan’, etaan’, ateetya, treen’, dehi, dehsamud’bhvaan’,
JanmmrityujaraaduHkhae, vimuktH, amritm’, ashnute ||20||

Translation: That (dehi) embodied soul (dehsamud’bhvaan’) cause of production of the body (etaan’) these (treen’) three (gunaan’) gunas i.e. the three, Rajgun-Brahma Ji, Satgun-Vishnu Ji and Tamgun-Shiv Ji (ateetya) transcending and by doing scripture-based worship of the Supreme God (Janmmrityujaraa duHkhae) from birth, death, old age and all forms of miseries (vimuktH) becoming free from (amritm’) the Supreme happiness i.e. eternity on becoming completely liberated  (ashnute) attains. (20)

Translation

That soul transcending these three gunas i.e. the three, Rajogun- Brahma Ji, Satgun-Vishnu Ji, and Tamgun-Shiv Ji, that are the causes of the production of body, and by doing scripture-based worship of the Supreme God, becoming free from birth, death, old age and all forms of miseries, attains the supreme happiness i.e. eternity on becoming completely liberated.


गुणान्, एतान्, अतीत्य, त्राीन्, देही, देहसमुद्भवान्,
जन्ममृत्युजरादुःखै, विमुक्तः, अमृृतम्, अश्नुते।।20।।

अनुवाद: वह (देही) जीवात्मा (देहसमुद्भवान्) शरीरकी उत्पत्तिके कारणरूप (एतान्) इन (त्राीन्) तीनों (गुणान्) गुणों अर्थात् तीनों रजगुण ब्रह्मा जी, सतगुण विष्णु जी, तमगुण शिव जी का(अतीत्य) उल्लंघन करके तथा पूर्ण परमात्मा की शास्त्रा विधि अनुसार पूजा करके (जन्ममृत्युजरा दुःखैः) जन्म, मृत्यु, वृद्धावस्था और सब प्रकारके दुःखोंसे (विमुक्तः) मुक्त हुआ (अमृतम्) परमानन्दको अर्थात् पूर्ण मुक्त होकर अमरत्व को (अश्नुते) प्राप्त होता है। (20)
