Yada, hi, na, indriyaartheshu, na, karmsu, anushjjate,
Sarvsankalpsannyaasi, yogaarudH, tada, uchyate ||4||
Translation: (Yada) When (na) neither (indriyaartheshu) in the pleasures of senses and (na) nor (karmsu) in actions (hi) only (anushjjate) becomes attracted (tada) in that state (sarvsankalpsannyaasi) a man who has renounced all desires (yogaarudH) in reality, engrossed in bhakti with full determination (uchyate) is said to be. (4)
When one neither becomes attracted to the pleasures of senses, nor to actions, in that state, a man who has renounced all desires, is actually said to be engrossed in bhakti with full determination.
यदा, हि, न, इन्द्रियार्थेषु, न, कर्मसु, अनुषज्जते,
सर्वसङ्कल्पसन्यासी, योगारूढः, तदा, उच्यते।।4।।
अनुवाद: (यदा) जिस समयमें (न) न तो (इन्द्रियार्थेषु) इन्द्रियोंके भोगोंमें और (न) न (कर्मसु) कर्मोंमें (हि) ही (अनुषज्जते) आसक्त होता है (तदा) उस स्थितिमें (सर्वसङ्कल्पसन्यासी) सर्वसंकल्पोंका त्यागी पुरुष (योगारूढः) वास्तव में भक्ति में दृढ़ निश्चय से संलग्न (उच्यते) कहा जाता है। (4)
